When Arturo Fidele fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sinchyteam's protests and gave Arturo Fidele a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sinchyteam's Arturo Fidele got a free kick in the 5th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luizinho Mello in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nuno de Alcântara saved Sinchyteam from getting behind. Fabio Lehior in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Saturnino Formerio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Luizinho Mello might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nuno de Alcântara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luizinho Mello ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 12th minute of the match, Luciano Piearres tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Saturnino Formerio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 14th minute, Luizinho Mello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabio Lehior got free with Saturnino Formerio in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabio Lehior scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Saturnino Formerio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Sepultura FC's zone, Arturo Fidele stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saturnino Formerio came out of the goal and Arturo Fidele tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristobal Orland got free with Saturnino Formerio in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Luciano Piearres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sinchyteam's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Piearres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saturnino Formerio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd match minute, Sinchyteam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Piearres to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Luizinho Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sepultura FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luizinho Mello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno de Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sinchyteam's Arturo Fidele got his second yellow card of the match in the 41st minute. The referee ordered Arturo Fidele off the ground. The supporters of Sepultura FC booed when Sinchyteam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Fidele didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nuno de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizinho Mello in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Luizinho Mello's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Nuno de Alcântara skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 56 minutes, Manuel Berart managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sepultura FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Berart was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristobal Orland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Saturnino Formerio having to make a save. Nuno de Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizinho Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute, Ramiro Felipo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luizinho Mello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luizinho Mello in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno de Alcântara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Shaheen Al Najdi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sepultura FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Shaheen Al Najdi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno de Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luizinho Mello in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno de Alcântara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 96th match minute, Sepultura FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shaheen Al Najdi to maneuver through the defense. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
