Fermin Mergildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fermin Mergildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jan Brask tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Fermin Mergildo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jan Brask, 1-0. In the 13th minute, Cipriano Edwardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Cipriano Edwardo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 24th minute of the game, Lanus got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. The throw-in from Audrius Pikelis in the 27th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Los Tucu-Tucu's Hipolito Firmin. Los Tucu-Tucu's Jan Brask played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermin Mergildo in the 29th minute of play. Gaston Chuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filiberto Chale in the 30th minute of play. If Fermin Mergildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Cipriano Edwardo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jan Brask. The goal made the score 3-0. A collision led to Los Tucu-Tucu getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Hipolito Firmin hit a great ball. Lanus's Fermin Mergildo got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicolas Nel was shown his second yellow card after 46 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Nicolas Nel hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filiberto Chale made a kick off. A nice corner shot did that Kristen Kronstad got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jan Brask quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Fermin Mergildo came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Lanus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fermin Mergildo couldn't finish the play. Lanus's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kristen Kronstad in the 74th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Los Tucu-Tucu's zone, Fermin Mergildo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Brask came out of the goal and Fermin Mergildo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cipriano Edwardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the game, Hipolito Firmin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Tucu-Tucu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lanus the free kick. A collision led to Los Tucu-Tucu getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Hipolito Firmin hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Fermin Mergildo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Brask was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 83 minutes into the match, Lanus's Fermin Mergildo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan Brask narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fermin Mergildo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Los Tucu-Tucu's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Edwardo came free, but Jan Brask reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filiberto Chale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Gaston Chuan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fermin Mergildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipriano Edwardo struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Jan Brask didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lanus. Cipriano Edwardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lanus walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
