Torcato Palha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Bieito, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. When Romulo Truylos fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Calchaqui's protests and gave Romulo Truylos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Trilí booed when Calchaqui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Truylos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Augusto Sotero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elpidio Bieito kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Torcato Palha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Aurken in the 26th minute of the match. Romulo Truylos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Torcato Palha came out and tried to block the shot, but Romulo Truylos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 29th minute. After 33 minutes of play, Calchaqui's Conrado Aurken made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Torcato Palha was left in no man's land by his defense there! Romulo Truylos struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Torcato Palha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calchaqui. Torcato Palha made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Romulo Truylos sent off a good shot on target. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Trilí's goalie and right to Omar Fix. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Trilí's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Augusto Sotero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Basilio Tano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After recieving a nice pass, Trilí's Augusto Sotero tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Trilí getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Amancio Arnas hit a great ball. Torcato Palha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Truylos in the 93rd minute of play. Calchaqui's Romulo Truylos got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
