Jimeno Panfilo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Philippe-Arnaud Theijs read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Raimundo Fagildo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Eutropio charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gervasio Mambru in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aldo Carlomagno saved C. A. Gral. Lamadrid from getting behind. When Gervasio Mambru came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Pegan y pegamos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gervasio Mambru couldn't finish the play. C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's Aldo Carlomagno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Gral. Lamadrid from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Saverio Millano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aldo Carlomagno. That made the score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. In the 35th minute, Gervasio Mambru made a precise shot to the right of Aldo Carlomagno. C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Saverio Millano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orlando Poncio to make the kick off. C. A. Gral. Pegan y pegamos's Raimundo Fagildo got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pegan y pegamos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saverio Millano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Philippe-Arnaud Theijs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlando Poncio in the 97th minute.
