The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Basilio Tano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Elpidio Bieito was shown his second yellow card after 14 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 15th match minute, Calchaqui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Bieito to maneuver through the defense. Teofilo Ciceron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Aldo Carlomagno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Romulo Truylos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calchaqui's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romulo Truylos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th minute, Calchaqui's Carolo Lauaxeta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. If Romulo Truylos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basilio Tano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Heli, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 32nd minute, Jimeno Panfilo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carolo Lauaxeta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Aldo Carlomagno made a huge save. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Calchaqui's Omar Fix in the 37th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Aldo Carlomagno was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for C. A. Gral. Lamadrid through an amazing save. Basilio Tano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Poncio in the 42nd minute of the match. Romulo Truylos struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Aldo Carlomagno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calchaqui. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's zone, Teofilo Ciceron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldo Carlomagno came out of the goal and Teofilo Ciceron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romulo Truylos to strike the kick off in the second half. If Romulo Truylos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aldo Carlomagno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Tono, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Lamadrid's zone, Romulo Truylos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldo Carlomagno came out of the goal and Romulo Truylos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 75 minutes of play, Calchaqui's Carolo Lauaxeta made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aldo Carlomagno was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 78th minute, Romulo Truylos made a precise shot to the right of Aldo Carlomagno. C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The supporters of Calchaqui booed when C. A. Gral. Lamadrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Hori didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Romulo Truylos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Calchaqui fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. A collision led to Calchaqui getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Teofilo Ciceron hit a great ball. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Blas Santikurtz was slow to take the kick. During this time Calchaqui's players had a chance to rest. When Fausto Oliverio came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Calchaqui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Oliverio couldn't finish the play. Calchaqui walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
