The crowd rose to their feet as Banban McJohnny kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ramiro Gorri. That made the score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. When Igor Estebe came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Monigotes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Estebe couldn't finish the play. In the 26th of the match, Banban McJohnny tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Ramiro Gorri got in the way and made a wonderful save. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Penca FC's Ramiro Gorri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Banban McJohnny in the 44th minute of play. When Felix Silban fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Penca FC's protests and gave Felix Silban a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Penca FC's Felix Silban got a free kick in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Igor Estebe to make the kick off. With his leg Stefan Biegun managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Penca FC's Felix Silban fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ramiro Gorri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Banban McJohnny in the 93rd minute of play. Banban McJohnny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Gorri having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Igor Estebe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
