Luisito Odilon kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. A collision led to C.D. Oriente Petrolero getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Eloy Matxin hit a great ball. C.D. Oriente Petrolero's Delmiro Abilio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisito Odilon in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Baltasar Tiniebra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Feliberto Rodriguez took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Nicolas Txema to make any attempt to save it. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The defensivo f.c fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicolas Txema should have stopped the shot. In the 62nd minute, defensivo f.c's Florencio Turi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Delmiro Abilio. Delmiro Abilio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. In the 66th minute Florencio Turi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmiro Abilio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Arturo Ieltxu managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.D. Oriente Petrolero's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Ieltxu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Txema breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Delmiro Abilio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Aguilera in the 70th minute of play. Arturo Ieltxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Nicolas Txema tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arturo Ieltxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Txema having to interfere. With an all-out effort, defensivo f.c's Delmiro Abilio threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Florencio Turi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Delmiro Abilio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rolando Orlondon in the 81st minute. In the 84th minute, defensivo f.c's Rolando Orlondon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roque Medardo in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolas Txema saved defensivo f.c from getting behind. 88 minutes into the game, Ramon Aguilera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. defensivo f.c's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.D. Oriente Petrolero the free kick. Ramon Aguilera hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute Arturo Ieltxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Txema saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Ramon Aguilera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Delmiro Abilio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. The defensivo f.c players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
