Nicolas Estevez scored 3-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victorio Ubelteso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Victorio Ubelteso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Arnau in the 19th minute of play. Osvaldo Astrada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Julio Estavan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leendert Looze got free with Victorio Ubelteso in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leendert Looze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorio Ubelteso having to interfere. Victorio Ubelteso made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Maximo Orain sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the game, Maximo Orain cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Victorio Ubelteso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Club A.Douglas Haig defense, Leendert Looze kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victorio Ubelteso. The Club A.Douglas Haig fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victorio Ubelteso should have stopped the shot. Aquilino Arnau struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Victorio Ubelteso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Golosos. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osvaldo Astrada was the one to do the kick off. If Nicolas Estevez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Estevez in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victorio Ubelteso saved Club A.Douglas Haig from getting behind. Los Golosos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Denis Intxixu in the 66th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Club A.Douglas Haig's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Orain came free, but Victorio Ubelteso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Leendert Looze notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Club A.Douglas Haig's Victorio Ubelteso. Los Golosos's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
