Arnoldo Erauso kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Aureliano Opilano struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Silverio Uxio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yaretayo. Silverio Uxio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Olo in the 14th minute of play. In the 14thth minute of the game Gonzalo Olo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Benítez's Silverio Uxio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Benítez booed when Yaretayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aureliano Opilano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yaretayo's Michel Duset played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Lore in the 18th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Benítez's Michel Duset threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adrian Lore, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Silverio Uxio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Olo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute of the match Yaretayo got a corner. Benítez's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eulalio Eudoxio ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Siro Francho got free with Michel Duset in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Benítez getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Roman Olo hit a great ball. Aureliano Opilano might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silverio Uxio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aureliano Opilano ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 44th minute, Gonzalo Olo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silverio Uxio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Cole, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

51 minutes into the match, Benítez's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Cole came free, but Silverio Uxio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Silverio Uxio managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Yaretayo's Aureliano Opilano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Andy Cole kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Silverio Uxio. That made the score 0-1 in the 55 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Benítez's Roman Olo got a free kick in the 68th minute. When Eulalio Eudoxio fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yaretayo's protests and gave Eulalio Eudoxio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Benítez booed when Yaretayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eulalio Eudoxio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Benítez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Erauso to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 74 in the game by Enrique Maule from a close distance when the talented Silverio Uxio managed to make a qualified save. Benítez's players were relieved. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andy Cole couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Benítez getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Braulio Ubarna hit a great ball. The Yaretayo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
