Rene Luix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Raymon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Cerrito's zone, Camilo Esdras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximiliano Silban came out of the goal and Camilo Esdras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute, Godfredo Raymon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rene Luix was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 40th minute Jacobo Beliran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Luix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Astor Noe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Maximiliano Silban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Godfredo Raymon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Astor Noe spun around in front of the goal 55 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Cerrito's goal. Deportivo Sinpiernas's Rene Luix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodosio Perutxo in the 58th minute of play. Gerardo Txanton kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Deportivo Sinpiernas's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Perutxo came free, but Rene Luix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Astor Noe kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodosio Perutxo in the 63rd minute of play forced Deportivo Sinpiernas's goalkeeper Rene Luix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Godfredo Raymon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rene Luix came out and tried to block the shot, but Godfredo Raymon slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 74th minute. Astor Noe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maximiliano Silban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Astor Noe in the 81st minute of the match. If Teodosio Perutxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alejandro Nofre during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th match minute, Deportivo Sinpiernas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Nofre to maneuver through the defense. If Camilo Esdras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cerrito walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
