The coaching staff of Cerrito protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gerardo Oihenarte had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Maximiliano Silban had in the 10thth minute some difficulties stopping Arturo Acosta's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Rigoberto Seme got a throw-in 19 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Silvio Francho. After some careless play in the Cerrito defense, Igor Argenis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximiliano Silban. The Cerrito fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximiliano Silban should have stopped the shot. Cerrito's Maximiliano Silban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Argenis in the 24th minute of play. When Pablo Omero fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cerrito's protests and gave Pablo Omero a yellow card for diving instead. Guerreros Fc's Joaquin Egoi was substituted for Salvador Lain. Pablo Omero kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Maximiliano Silban took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Argenis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximiliano Silban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laureano Porfirio, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After taking down the ball on Guerreros Fc's corner Arturo Acosta fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Maximiliano Silban quite easily take care of the ball. Maximiliano Silban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Argenis, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Evaristo Flores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teodosio Perutxo's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After having played for 46 minutes, Teodosio Perutxo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cerrito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodosio Perutxo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernando Kauldi kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Guerreros Fc were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Evaristo Flores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Beliran in the 54th minute of play. After 57 minutes of play, Cerrito's Jacobo Beliran made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evaristo Flores was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Teodosio Perutxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximiliano Silban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laureano Porfirio in the 62nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Igor Argenis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guerreros Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Argenis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximiliano Silban breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Teodosio Perutxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guerreros Fc's Evaristo Flores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvio Francho in the 71st minute of play. After 72 minutes of play, Cerrito's Jacobo Beliran made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The Cerrito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. In the 87th minute Teodosio Perutxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Flores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Jacobo Beliran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Evaristo Flores was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 93 played minutes Igor Argenis rounded Cerrito's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-3. Cerrito's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
