Cerrito's Maximiliano Silban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Polat Aranda in the 41st minute of play. After taking down the ball on La Scaloneta's corner Enrique Rozarius fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Maximiliano Silban quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of La Scaloneta booed when Cerrito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Omero didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Gilberto Izel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maximiliano Silban. Gerardo Txanton got a throw-in 66 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Silvio Francho. In the 70th minute, Gilberto Izel made a precise shot to the right of Maximiliano Silban. Cerrito's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-11. Enrique Rozarius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Silban having to interfere. Maximiliano Silban made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Gilberto Izel sent off a good shot on target. Gilberto Izel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximiliano Silban read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cerrito's Gerardo Txanton got a free kick in the 90th minute. 92 minutes into the game, one of Cerrito:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
