Lech Mindykowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Elorri having to interfere. 19 minutes into the game, Ranquilcó AFC's Eustaquio Abascal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elvio Elorri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The corner ended in Isidro Lleir almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ranquilcó AFC's Teobaldo Aztore did a great save. The supporters of Alumbrera booed when Ranquilcó AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Bernaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hector Urtsin got free with Teobaldo Aztore in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lech Mindykowski succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. In the 30th minute Eustaquio Abascal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Elorri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ranquilcó AFC's zone, Hector Urtsin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teobaldo Aztore came out of the goal and Hector Urtsin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Bernaldo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ranquilcó AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alumbrera the free kick. The supporters of Alumbrera booed when Ranquilcó AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Bernaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isidro Lleir took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Teobaldo Aztore. Ranquilcó AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Alumbrera players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ranquilcó AFC were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lech Mindykowski made a kick off. Lech Mindykowski's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Elvio Elorri firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Alumbrera 's Hector Urtsin got a free kick in the 58th minute. Teobaldo Aztore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Muno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Ranquilcó AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gogo Derwin came free, but Teobaldo Aztore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elvio Elorri made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Lech Mindykowski sent off a good shot on target. In the 69thth minute of the game Lech Mindykowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alumbrera 's Elvio Elorri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Teobaldo Aztore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Urtsin, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Elvio Elorri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Teofilio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd match minute, Alumbrera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gogo Derwin to maneuver through the defense. The referee ignored Alumbrera 's protests and gave Isidro Lleir a yellow card for diving instead. Isidro Lleir hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Elvio Elorri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lech Mindykowski's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Zeledon Gitano's late challenge caught a Ranquilcó AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zeledon Gitano helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Alumbrera getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Zeledon Gitano hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute of the match Ranquilcó AFC got a corner. Alumbrera 's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlos Gorri ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lech Mindykowski came free with the goalkeeper in the 94th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Elvio Elorri could save by the left post. In the 95th minute Leonardo Derwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teobaldo Aztore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ranquilcó AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
