The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norberto Naike during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Norberto Naike hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. If Siro Lobo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Claudio Inocente's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudio Romero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. After 22 minutes, Tobias Cristos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Defensores de Lugano and the Oran f.c. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Defensores de Lugano getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Tobias Cristos hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Just Fontaine had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicasio Bitxintxo. Defensores de Lugano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Just Fontaine was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Just Fontaine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the game, Sebastian Mel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Nicasio Bitxintxo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Just Fontaine took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicasio Bitxintxo. Nicasio Bitxintxo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. In the 37th minute Benicio Ortzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicasio Bitxintxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicasio Bitxintxo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severiano Ekhi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Defensores de Lugano's Nicasio Bitxintxo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benicio Ortzi in the 42nd minute of play. Claudio Inocente came free with the goalkeeper in the 45th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Claudio Romero could save by the left post. After 46 played minutes Defensores de Lugano got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Cristos. After the first half Oran f.c. were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 57th minute, Oran f.c.'s Benicio Ortzi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nicasio Bitxintxo. Nicasio Bitxintxo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Just Fontaine got free with Nicasio Bitxintxo in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Defensores de Lugano's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Siro Lobo scored to the left of an out of position Nicasio Bitxintxo, making the score, 0-8. 73 minutes into the match, Just Fontaine had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicasio Bitxintxo. Defensores de Lugano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Just Fontaine was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. The supporters of Oran f.c. booed when Defensores de Lugano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Enol didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Benicio Ortzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oran f.c.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Benicio Ortzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicasio Bitxintxo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 90 minutes, Severiano Ekhi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oran f.c.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Severiano Ekhi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Emanuel Argider fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Defensores de Lugano's protests and gave Emanuel Argider a yellow card for diving instead. Benicio Ortzi shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. When the final whistle sounded Oran f.c. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Defensores de Lugano.
