Emanuel Argider hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the game, Fang Zhen Hao was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Verye's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Defensores de Lugano the free kick. 18 minutes into the match, Defensores de Lugano's goal looked a bit too open when Rauf Erginay came free, but Nicasio Bitxintxo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rauf Erginay in the 18th minute of play forced Defensores de Lugano's goalkeeper Nicasio Bitxintxo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Defensores de Lugano's Eusebio Chuse nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Natalio Guillelmo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 24 minutes into the match, Verye's goal looked a bit too open when Melchor Enol came free, but Natalio Guillelmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Defensores de Lugano booed when Verye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rauf Erginay made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Fang Zhen Hao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicasio Bitxintxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 minutes, Rauf Erginay made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Defensores de Lugano's Nicasio Bitxintxo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Verye's Benedito Paixão got a free kick in the 58th minute. After 65 played minutes Verye got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Joseph. Verye's Natalio Guillelmo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Verye from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Lugano's Tobias Cristos got a free kick in the 74th minute. Erasmo Nicholas hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the game, Rauf Erginay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Nicasio Bitxintxo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 85th play minutes Rauf Erginay shot 7-1, a short shot which went by Nicasio Bitxintxo and just under the crossbar into goal. Nicasio Bitxintxo came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Verye's Fang Zhen Hao. But to his dismay, Fang Zhen Hao quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Verye fully deserved thier win.
