Ichipuca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anastasio Montrel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miguel Leobardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anastasio Montrel, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Arnulfo Txurio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlanta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnulfo Txurio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silverio Horado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dalmacio Sedeni during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ichipuca booed when Atlanta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Sedeni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ichipuca's Anastasio Montrel got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Atlanta FC's Dalmacio Sedeni got a free kick in the 31st minute. Anastasio Montrel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Miguel Leobardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnulfo Txurio struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Silverio Horado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlanta FC. After 39 minutes of play, Atlanta FC's Arnulfo Txurio made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silverio Horado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arnulfo Txurio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th minute, Anastasio Montrel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miguel Leobardo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After the first half Ichipuca were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anastasio Montrel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Arnulfo Txurio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Arnulfo Txurio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silverio Horado. Ichipuca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnulfo Txurio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. A collision led to Atlanta FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Arnulfo Txurio hit a great ball. Arnulfo Txurio scored 3-2 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silverio Horado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcos Hats hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Anastasio Montrel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ichipuca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. A hard shot 87 in the game by Anastasio Montrel from a close distance when the talented Miguel Leobardo managed to make a qualified save. Atlanta FC's players were relieved. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Atlanta FC had played much better football throughout.
