To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 13 minutes into the game, Club LUJAN's Ulises Ceandro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silverio Horado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 17 minutes, Edelmiro Herrera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club LUJAN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edelmiro Herrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 19 minutes, Joaquin Gora mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club LUJAN and the Ichipuca players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joaquin Gora hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Anastasio Montrel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Baldomiro Eguzki when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Club LUJAN's Flavio Cordeiro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ichipuca. Roque Dolfo charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roque Dolfo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th minute, Roque Dolfo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anastasio Montrel was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Candido Sedeni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Candido Sedeni during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 40 played minutes Ichipuca got a freekick which was hit by Candido Sedeni. Club LUJAN's Flavio Cordeiro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 40th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ichipuca. Baldomiro Eguzki made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Anastasio Montrel sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anastasio Montrel to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 76th minute Edelmiro Herrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Horado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baldomiro Eguzki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anastasio Montrel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquin Gora got his second yellow card in the match during the 81st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Club LUJAN getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Joaquin Gora hit a great ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Club LUJAN:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ichipuca:s goal. The audience was convinced that Anastasio Montrel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baldomiro Eguzki was relentless in the 100th minute of the game. Ichipuca were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Club LUJAN for a fine match.
