In the 7th minute, Zayveon Pedraza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olgierd Winnicki was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 11 minutes, Zayveon Pedraza made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. RIP F.C's Olgierd Winnicki tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 20 minutes into the game, Zayveon Pedraza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Almería's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RIP F.C the free kick. After 20 played minutes Almería got a freekick which was hit by Zayveon Pedraza. Facundo Altamirano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Álvaro Mondaca in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Zayveon Pedraza notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of RIP F.C's Olgierd Winnicki. Olgierd Winnicki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. RIP F.C's Neil Bezzina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Iker Juvenal, made in the 28th minute of the game. A collision led to Almería getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Claudio-Paul Caniggia hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the game, Rolando Bento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Olgierd Winnicki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 41 played minutes Almería got a freekick which was hit by Fabio-Roman D'Amato. A collision led to RIP F.C getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Miguel Baladi hit a great ball. Olgierd Winnicki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rolando Bento's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Olgierd Winnicki came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Almería's Rolando Bento. But to his dismay, Rolando Bento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rolando Bento to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Almería's Rolando Bento dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. After having played for 57 minutes, Rolando Bento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almería's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Bento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zayveon Pedraza got free with Olgierd Winnicki in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. RIP F.C's Olgierd Winnicki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio-Paul Caniggia in the 60th minute of play. After 61 minutes of play Almería's Claudio-Paul Caniggia was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Claudio-Paul Caniggia kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, RIP F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Bento came free, but Olgierd Winnicki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the RIP F.C defense, Rolando Bento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olgierd Winnicki. The RIP F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olgierd Winnicki should have stopped the shot. 68 minutes into the match, RIP F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Bento came free, but Olgierd Winnicki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olgierd Winnicki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Bento, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Rolando Bento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Olgierd Winnicki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Almería made a substitution. Melchor Chumo replaced Rolando Bento. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Rameriz in the 85th minute of play forced Almería's goalkeeper Facundo Altamirano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Facundo Altamirano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Rameriz in the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Melchor Chumo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olgierd Winnicki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Dario Benitez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Almería's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
