The tension between the EZIC and the Solo Vélez players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, EZIC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Pelayo to maneuver through the defense. Solo Vélez's Osvaldo Luar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Roldan in the 87th minute of play. If Saturnino Roldan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
