After 14 minutes of play, Cobo's Yuan Jing Quan made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Orlando Ondino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jawad Ashkanani in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Peruxu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omar Christobal got free with Marcos Peruxu in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Omar Christobal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Marcos Peruxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 played minutes Cobo got a freekick which was hit by Atay İrem. Thanks to some nice moves Omar Christobal could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Marcos Peruxu however easily saved by the left post. A hard shot 37 in the game by Jawad Ashkanani from a close distance when the talented Marcos Peruxu managed to make a qualified save. Cobo's players were relieved. Jawad Ashkanani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Marcos Peruxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Genoa FC booed when Cobo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amancio Loreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yuan Jing Quan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Cobo's zone, Jawad Ashkanani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Peruxu came out of the goal and Jawad Ashkanani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cobo's Marcos Peruxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jawad Ashkanani in the 59th minute of play. In the 64th minute Jawad Ashkanani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Peruxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Jawad Ashkanani sped through Cobo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcos Peruxu. Genoa FC made a substitution. Anier Montrel replaced Eulalio Tanio. After a rather tough play, Cobo's Atay İrem got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute, Celestino Gasteiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had been going on for 76 minutes Juan Raymundo shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Marcos Peruxu when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. Marcos Peruxu came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Genoa FC's Jawad Ashkanani. But to his dismay, Jawad Ashkanani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jawad Ashkanani in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Peruxu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 90 minutes into the match, Cobo's goal looked a bit too open when Jawad Ashkanani came free, but Marcos Peruxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cobo's Marcos Peruxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jawad Ashkanani in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94thth minute of the game Jawad Ashkanani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cobo's Marcos Peruxu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 95th minute, Anier Montrel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Genoa FC had played much better football throughout.
