Tadeo Quilino took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Orlando Ondino. Orlando Ondino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. With a little luck, Atlético Matorrales's Leonardo Loco got control of the ball when Omar Christobal tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 47 minutes, Tadeo Quilino made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Genoa FC's Orlando Ondino tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tadeo Quilino to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Tadeo Quilino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Orlando Ondino was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Genoa FC's zone, Diego Leocadio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Ondino came out of the goal and Diego Leocadio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Jawad Ashkanani put it in 1-8 from a short distance just to the right of Leonardo Loco. If Omar Christobal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute Jawad Ashkanani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Loco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Atlético Matorrales could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Genoa FC throughout the match.
