In the 27th minute Marcelino Jago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Salvino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raul Kaxen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebio Berdoi having to interfere. With a little luck, Nirihau AFC's Leonardo Salvino got control of the ball when Roque Quintin tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Edgard Gelacio fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nirihau AFC's protests and gave Edgard Gelacio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Quilmes FC booed when Nirihau AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Gelacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonardo Salvino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Jago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Nirihau AFC's Leonardo Salvino got control of the ball when Roque Quintin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelino Jago in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonardo Salvino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ricardo Behe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonardo Salvino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelino Jago stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Marcelino Jago's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonardo Salvino was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nirihau AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Flavio Rojelio kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Quilmes FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Nirihau AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
