Leonardo Salvino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Paskal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Leopoldo Paskal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jawad Ashkanani to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Genoa FC's Jawad Ashkanani dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Jawad Ashkanani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Leonardo Salvino made a huge save. Leonardo Salvino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jawad Ashkanani went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Genoa FC's Anier Montrel was substituted for Eulalio Tanio. If Prudencio Dantae had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Nirihau AFC defense, Omar Christobal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonardo Salvino. The Nirihau AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonardo Salvino should have stopped the shot. Leonardo Salvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jawad Ashkanani in the 78th minute of play. Anier Montrel kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd match minute, Genoa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anier Montrel to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute of the match Flavio Rojelio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Orlando Ondino showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 91st minute, Anier Montrel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Genoa FC played a much better game than Nirihau AFC and deserved their victory. The Nirihau AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
