In the 24th minute Adrian Cordarell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nenad Krivošija saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Mateo Udalaitz notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of UE Lleida's Nenad Krivošija. Nenad Krivošija was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 35th minute, Gilberto Gizon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UE Lleida fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Nicanor Idacio hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in UE Lleida's zone, Ernesto Fagildo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nenad Krivošija came out of the goal and Ernesto Fagildo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nenad Krivošija stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adrian Cordarell's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Mateo Udalaitz kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The referee ignored UE Lleida's protests and gave Nicanor Idacio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when UE Lleida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Idacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateo Udalaitz might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nenad Krivošija. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mateo Udalaitz ran back to his position shaking his head. Nenad Krivošija took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Fagildo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by UE Lleida's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Reynaldo Pes was slow to take the kick. During this time Boca Juniors's players had a chance to rest. Jakub Maziarski made a great header on Boca Juniors's corner, it was just that UE Lleida's Nenad Krivošija managed to reach the ball for a save.
