With a left leg Cristian Sesuldo saved Lima AFC from getting behind. 9 minutes into the match, Lima AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Umbruso came free, but Cristian Sesuldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Lima AFC's Cristian Sesuldo got control of the ball when Donato Guillen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Sesuldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Umbruso in the 11th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Fabio Umbruso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Fabio Umbruso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cristian Sesuldo, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Federico Piearres during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Ronaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Isidro Rosalio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Todo ROJO's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidro Rosalio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Sesuldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erasmo Federigo kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 30 minutes into the game, when Jairo Jaunzuria put in a rough tackle. Lima AFC's Cristian Sesuldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Rosalio in the 38th minute of play. Fabio Umbruso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Sesuldo having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvano Nabar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Fabio Umbruso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Sesuldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 51 minutes into the match, Fabio Umbruso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristian Sesuldo. Lima AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabio Umbruso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Silvano Nabar sent off a good shot on target. Todo ROJO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Silvano Nabar ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Todo ROJO booed when Lima AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifacio Abecia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the game, Lima AFC's Clóvis Monteiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Todo ROJO's Simon Truylos was substituted for Arnaldo Gipuzkoa. When Eleazar Castaneda fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lima AFC's protests and gave Eleazar Castaneda a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Todo ROJO booed when Lima AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleazar Castaneda didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Fabio Umbruso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Umbruso scored 3-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristian Sesuldo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 74th minute of the match Todo ROJO got a corner. Lima AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hugon Snaza ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Todo ROJO's corner Hugon Snaza fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cristian Sesuldo quite easily take care of the ball. After 78 played minutes Todo ROJO got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Venerando. When Lima AFC's Ronaldo Ronaldo in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Todo ROJO's goalie prevented a goal. Cristian Sesuldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Todo ROJO had played much better football throughout.
