Spectators: 7576 (Terracing: 5683, Seating: 1743, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. German Fliz started the match with the kick off. Melchor Fidensio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Ernesto Barrionuevo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 10 played minutes Medellín AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cirilo Goiz. In the 11th minute German Fliz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Gabon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Melchor Fidensio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of united torito's Ernesto Barrionuevo. Ernesto Barrionuevo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Martin Gabon made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when German Fliz sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, united torito's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Henry came free, but Ernesto Barrionuevo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, united torito's Isaac Shantala seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Isaac Shantala the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of united torito protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Isaac Shantala had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Medellín AFC booed when united torito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Shantala didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernesto Barrionuevo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipolito Guib in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Elpidio Henry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Barrionuevo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Eugenio Tiso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zanko Chipev struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Martin Gabon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for united torito. united torito's Tümer Bengisoy got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mario Illart lost his temper 38 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Mario Illart kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Candido Cugat dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Martin Gabon, 1-2. Zanko Chipev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Martin Gabon made a huge save. After the first half Medellín AFC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elpidio Henry to make the kick off. Martin Gabon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zanko Chipev in the 55th minute of play. The supporters of united torito booed when Medellín AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Tiso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the game, united torito's Zanko Chipev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martin Gabon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 62 minutes into the match, Medellín AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tümer Bengisoy came free, but Martin Gabon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Elpidio Henry recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ernesto Barrionuevo. Elpidio Henry showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. In the 66th minute, Eugenio Tiso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Gabon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zanko Chipev, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Cugat in the 69th minute of play forced Medellín AFC's goalkeeper Martin Gabon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Candido Cugat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zanko Chipev in the 73rd minute of play forced Medellín AFC's goalkeeper Martin Gabon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 played minutes united torito got a freekick which was hit by Tümer Bengisoy. If Elpidio Henry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Hipolito Guib got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Medellín AFC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over united torito's much stronger midfield.
