La Union de Eldorado's Freddy Arano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Lapurdi in the 2nd minute of play. Higinio Lapurdi's late challenge caught a La Union de Eldorado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Higinio Lapurdi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th minute, Higinio Lapurdi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charlie Saunders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urdin Jauregui in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Jaime Loreto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Freddy Arano. Jaime Loreto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Erubiel Basualdo took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Freddy Arano. Freddy Arano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. La Union de Eldorado's Freddy Arano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save La Union de Eldorado from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tord Majman in the 27th minute of play forced Calchín FC's goalkeeper Charlie Saunders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaime Loreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, Calchín FC's Jaime Loreto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Freddy Arano. Freddy Arano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 57th match minute, Calchín FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Lizar to maneuver through the defense. Erubiel Basualdo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Arano having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Tord Majman managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Union de Eldorado's supporters rose to their feet, but Tord Majman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charlie Saunders breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Lizar in the 72nd minute of play forced La Union de Eldorado's goalkeeper Freddy Arano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddy Arano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Loreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 minutes of play, Calchín FC's Erubiel Basualdo made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Freddy Arano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Freddy Arano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Loreto in the 94th minute of the match. Urdin Jauregui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Saunders having to interfere. The Calchín FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
