An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Teofilio in the 20th minute of play forced BS AS's goalkeeper Braulio Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Braulio Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrício Pedrozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Fulgencio Valentine hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After 35 played minutes BS AS got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Boni. Alan Engelsen scored 1-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Braulio Santana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Club Atlético Alvarado booed when BS AS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulgencio Valentine didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Fabrício Pedrozo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Braulio Santana. The goal made the score 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damian Laffitte to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Fulgencio Valentine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esteve Maura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Braulio Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Alvarado's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Stuckens came free, but Matías Tagliamonte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute Fabrício Pedrozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braulio Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tony Stuckens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Matías Tagliamonte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alan Engelsen fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Alvarado's protests and gave Alan Engelsen a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes Club Atlético Alvarado got a freekick which was hit by Alan Engelsen. 87 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Alvarado's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Laffitte came free, but Matías Tagliamonte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Atlético Alvarado's Nuno Melo was substituted for Fulgencio Teofilio. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Club Atlético Alvarado:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of BS AS:s goal. Matías Tagliamonte had in the 93rdth minute some difficulties stopping Damian Laffitte's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Braulio Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrício Pedrozo in the 94th minute of the match. BS AS's Damian Laffitte was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 97th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. There was no doubt that Club Atlético Alvarado were the better team. Club Atlético Alvarado's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
