The Newcastle United ARG fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Tadeo Gabon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Arósio in the 13th minute of play forced Sarmiento de Junin's goalkeeper Robbie Boshuis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robbie Boshuis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nildo Félix in the 15th minute of the match. Mira Anø hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tadeo Gabon got free with Marcelito Barovero in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tadeo Gabon in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelito Barovero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 31 played minutes Newcastle United ARG got a freekick which was hit by Nildo Félix. After a defensive mix-up in Newcastle United ARG's zone, Robustiano Sandaili stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelito Barovero came out of the goal and Robustiano Sandaili tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robbie Boshuis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Paul Håland, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Sarmiento de Junin's Robbie Boshuis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belmiro Arósio in the 37th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Belmiro Arósio during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Belmiro Arósio kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Robbie Boshuis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nildo Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robbie Boshuis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Paul Håland in the 44th minute of play. Nildo Félix took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robbie Boshuis. Robbie Boshuis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After the first half Newcastle United ARG were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Belmiro Arósio was the one to do the kick off. Marcelito Barovero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robustiano Sandaili in the 56th minute of the match. The supporters of Sarmiento de Junin booed when Newcastle United ARG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nildo Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Christian Steven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelito Barovero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Gabon, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After 63 played minutes Newcastle United ARG got a freekick which was hit by Nildo Félix. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tadeo Gabon in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelito Barovero saved Newcastle United ARG from getting behind. After 66 minutes of play, Sarmiento de Junin's Tadeo Gabon made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelito Barovero was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Belmiro Arósio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Robbie Boshuis. That made the score 2-3 in the 70 minute of play. Robbie Boshuis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belmiro Arósio in the 73rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tadeo Gabon in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelito Barovero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tadeo Gabon in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelito Barovero saved Newcastle United ARG from getting behind. Newcastle United ARG's Emanuel Lizer was substituted for Nildo Félix. In the 85th match minute, Newcastle United ARG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Björn-Torben Von Bischhoffshausen to maneuver through the defense. Tadeo Gabon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Marcelito Barovero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 94 played minutes Newcastle United ARG got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Eli. Ernesto Benitez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeo Gabon in the 96th minute of play forced Newcastle United ARG's goalkeeper Marcelito Barovero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Newcastle United ARG supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Newcastle United ARG would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
