Marcelito Barovero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Newcastle United ARG's Marcelito Barovero got control of the ball when Nemesio Sol tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 12th minute, Hidrocarburo FC's Nemesio Sol dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nemesio Sol got free with Marcelito Barovero in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Newcastle United ARG's Paulo Cugat got a free kick in the 16th minute. Nemesio Sol who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Marcelito Barovero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Newcastle United ARG's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Nemesio Sol scored to the left of an out of position Marcelito Barovero, making the score, 7-0. Nildo Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kauno Pirnes having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 7-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Belmiro Arósio to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Cugat during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcelito Barovero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicodim Mangra, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Mariano Valensuela made a great header on Hidrocarburo FC's corner, it was just that Newcastle United ARG's Marcelito Barovero managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 78th minute, Nicodim Mangra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Nemesio Sol came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Hidrocarburo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nemesio Sol couldn't finish the play. Nemesio Sol scored 10-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelito Barovero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Nicodim Mangra fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hidrocarburo FC's protests and gave Nicodim Mangra a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 played minutes Hidrocarburo FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicodim Mangra. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hidrocarburo FC fully deserved thier win.
