Romulo Dominic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 17th minute of the match Leopoldo Normando shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Romulo Dominic showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rosa's Romulo Dominic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blas Paio in the 20th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Luciano Jakes could shoot a difficult shot in the 21st minute, which Romulo Dominic however easily saved by the left post. The audience was convinced that Blas Paio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romulo Dominic was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Sixto Jobo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomero Baleren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in La Candelaria FC's zone, Venancio Inguma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sixto Jobo came out of the goal and Venancio Inguma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baldomero Baleren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, La Candelaria FC's Blas Paio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romulo Dominic narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 36 minutes, Luciano Jakes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Candelaria FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luciano Jakes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sixto Jobo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomero Baleren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sixto Jobo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Venancio Inguma, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The wind increased when Blas Paio made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Rosa's Ruben Calixto got a free kick in the 51st minute. Paulo Ofelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romulo Dominic having to interfere. After 61 minutes, Paulo Ofelio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Candelaria FC and the Rosa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ambrosio Tonio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Romulo Dominic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 67 minutes of play, La Candelaria FC's Luciano Jakes made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romulo Dominic was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Rosa getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Arturo Matthew hit a great ball. Baldomero Baleren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Jobo having to interfere. Joel Donostia's late challenge caught a La Candelaria FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Donostia helped the player get up and apologised. When Iker Mero fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosa's protests and gave Iker Mero a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th minute, one of Rosa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rosa. In the 86th match minute, Rosa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Matthew to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Jonas Venceslao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baldomero Baleren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Jobo having to interfere. Rosa's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
