Mervaleta FC's Tano Sampler got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leo Nesto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luciano Jakes in the 6th minute. Mervaleta FC's Dario Quexal got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dario Quexal scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sixto Jobo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 27 minutes into the match, Mervaleta FC's Justino Erruki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sixto Jobo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sixto Jobo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Quexal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Mervaleta FC booed when La Candelaria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niceto Salomone didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Justino Erruki in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sixto Jobo saved La Candelaria FC from getting behind. After some careless play in the La Candelaria FC defense, Epifanio Javiero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sixto Jobo. The La Candelaria FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sixto Jobo should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Justino Erruki in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sixto Jobo saved La Candelaria FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, La Candelaria FC's Paulo Ofelio got a free kick in the 36th minute. Adan Shepherd charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adan Shepherd the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Justino Erruki struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Sixto Jobo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mervaleta FC. Dario Quexal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Jobo having to interfere. Justino Erruki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Sixto Jobo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Justino Erruki in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sixto Jobo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Epifanio Javiero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mervaleta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Epifanio Javiero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sixto Jobo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sixto Jobo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justino Erruki in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th match minute, La Candelaria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ambrosio Tonio to maneuver through the defense. In the 60thth minute of the game Justino Erruki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Candelaria FC's Sixto Jobo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luciano Jakes kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Dario Quexal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sixto Jobo. The goal made the score 0-4. Justino Erruki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Sixto Jobo made a huge save. Teobaldo Ponce hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Mervaleta FC's Sixto Jobo threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Epifanio Javiero, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 86th minute Justino Erruki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixto Jobo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blas Paio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Nesto having to interfere. Mervaleta FC played a much better game than La Candelaria FC and deserved their victory. The La Candelaria FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
