The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonio Bide during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 4th minute, Antonio Bide hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melincué AFC's Guido Firman got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guido Firman in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Saverio Guillen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Melincué AFC's goalkeeper Uriel Ereinotz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 17 minutes, Guido Firman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melincué AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guido Firman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Melincué AFC's goalkeeper Uriel Ereinotz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Basilio Estebano. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Basilio Estebano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Veliko Tarnovo's supporters rose to their feet, but Basilio Estebano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uriel Ereinotz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mariano Emenon kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Luisito Polentzi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Veliko Tarnovo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The supporters of Melincué AFC booed when Veliko Tarnovo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Raulo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saverio Guillen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Saverio Guillen stood somewhat misplaced when Guido Firman came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 53 minute. Conrado Lorien lost his temper 62 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 61st minute, one of Melincué AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Melincué AFC. In the 64th minute there was a penalty for Veliko Tarnovo. Tobias Isias stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Uriel Ereinotz. 2-2. Guido Firman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luisito Polentzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Uriel Ereinotz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santos Ugutz did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-3 to the left of a surprised Saverio Guillen 75 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, Guido Firman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Saverio Guillen. The goal made the score 2-4. When Melincué AFC's Guido Firman in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Veliko Tarnovo's goalie prevented a goal. Basilio Estebano hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Uriel Ereinotz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basilio Estebano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximo Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Uriel Ereinotz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Santos Ugutz came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Melincué AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santos Ugutz couldn't finish the play. Melincué AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
