In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Veliko Tarnovo's goalkeeper Saverio Guillen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ermegildo Ovando scored 0-3 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Saverio Guillen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 28 minutes, Delmiro Arotza made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Veliko Tarnovo's Saverio Guillen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st minute, Delmiro Arotza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Saverio Guillen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Saverio Guillen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmiro Arotza in the 39th minute of the match. With a little luck, Islas Malvinas Argentinas's Ladislao Oliveiro got control of the ball when Basilio Estebano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luisito Polentzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ladislao Oliveiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46thth minute of the game Delmiro Arotza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Veliko Tarnovo's Saverio Guillen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luisito Polentzi to make the kick off. In the 56thth minute of the game Delmiro Arotza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Veliko Tarnovo's Saverio Guillen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Delmiro Arotza in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Saverio Guillen saved Veliko Tarnovo from getting behind. Lisandro Txilar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jens-Ola Bock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ladislao Oliveiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basilio Estebano in the 72nd minute of play. Delmiro Arotza succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-7 in the 75th playminute. Ermegildo Ovando hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Veliko Tarnovo's Luisito Polentzi got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Delmiro Arotza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Saverio Guillen made a huge save. In the 85th minute, Ermegildo Ovando ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Saverio Guillen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Delmiro Arotza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saverio Guillen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermegildo Ovando in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Luciano Vianna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Islas Malvinas Argentinas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
