Sayaco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chacarita Undertakers the free kick. Filiberto Lucian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Egoi in the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Benet in the 27th minute of play forced Sayaco's goalkeeper Filiberto Lucian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danilo Vincent struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Ricardo Gaizkine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sayaco. In the 34th minute, Edgardo Gilen had to leave the field with a concussion. Alfredo Benet's late challenge caught a Sayaco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredo Benet helped the player get up and apologised. Sayaco's Emanuel Oxarra was substituted for Edgardo Gilen. Alfredo Benet hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Chacarita Undertakers defense, Danilo Vincent kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Gaizkine. The Chacarita Undertakers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Gaizkine should have stopped the shot. Cesar Elixio kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Atilano Ariando during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th match minute, Sayaco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atilano Ariando to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 45 minutes, Salvador Columbo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chacarita Undertakers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvador Columbo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th match minute, Sayaco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmiro Rodriguez to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Eduardo Egoi made the kick off in the second half. Filiberto Lucian didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardo Romelio went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Filiberto Lucian came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Chacarita Undertakers's Cleto Guipuzkoa. But to his dismay, Cleto Guipuzkoa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Filiberto Lucian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Romelio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filiberto Lucian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Benet, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chacarita Undertakers.
