He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Esteve Innocenzio.

The wind increased when Ermegildo Barea made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Santiago Munio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Velez Sport Club and the Sayaco players grew even worse after the yellow card. Santiago Munio hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denis Arixo got free with Filiberto Lucian in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hilario Sotero's late challenge caught a Sayaco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermegildo Barea in the 90th minute of play forced Velez Sport Club's goalkeeper Esteve Innocenzio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Feliciano Niguel got in the 95th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Filiberto Lucian handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Sayaco's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
