The referee ignored Barrilete Cósmico's protests and gave Astor Calisto a yellow card for diving instead. 44 minutes into the game, one of Barrilete Cósmico:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cayetano Normando had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Silvestre Ongile's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jesus Baristo to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Fermin Bieito notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Barrilete Cósmico's Cayetano Normando. Cayetano Normando was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Barrilete Cósmico's Cayetano Normando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Dalmai in the 99th minute of play. Gomosao F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
