DeportivoIndependienteMDP's Anastasio Eguerdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kıraç Ustaoğlu in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Azcurra AFC's Luciano Ferrando got a free kick in the 37th minute. Leo Lopez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esquipula Bouzon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salvador Perfecto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Lopez having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Esquipula Bouzon made a kick off. After some careless play in the Azcurra AFC defense, Delmar Lapurdi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leo Lopez. The Azcurra AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leo Lopez should have stopped the shot. Kıraç Ustaoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Anastasio Eguerdi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Azcurra AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DeportivoIndependienteMDP the free kick. After 62 played minutes Azcurra AFC got a freekick which was hit by Kıraç Ustaoğlu. DeportivoIndependienteMDP's Anastasio Eguerdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kıraç Ustaoğlu in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute Nicolas Demario suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cleto Berbiz during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Azcurra AFC! 69 minutes into the game, Salvador Perfecto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Leo Lopez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Delmar Lapurdi in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leo Lopez saved Azcurra AFC from getting behind. In the 78th minute Delmar Lapurdi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Lopez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. DeportivoIndependienteMDP had played much better football throughout.
