Sten Muren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from A.J. Adams, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 3 minutes of play, LOS GALACTICOS's A.J. Adams made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sten Muren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hermengildo Elizardo took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sten Muren. Sten Muren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Dario Ordono charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dario Ordono the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 13 played minutes Carmen got a freekick which was hit by Dario Ordono. In the 14th minute Hermengildo Elizardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Muren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Carmen's goal looked a bit too open when A.J. Adams came free, but Sten Muren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17thth minute of the game Hermengildo Elizardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carmen's Sten Muren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sten Muren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 28 minutes, Bernardo Rami mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carmen and the LOS GALACTICOS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Carmen getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Bernardo Rami hit a great ball. When LOS GALACTICOS's A.J. Adams in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carmen's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that A.J. Adams's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sten Muren was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Sten Muren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Elizardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute LOS GALACTICOS were awarded a corner. Hernan Rosario went to the cornerflag to take it. 36 minutes into the match, Hermengildo Elizardo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sten Muren. Carmen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hermengildo Elizardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Matei in the 41st minute of play forced Carmen's goalkeeper Sten Muren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adolfo Amato during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hermengildo Elizardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dario Ordono was the one to do the kick off. Hermengildo Elizardo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sten Muren firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 52nd minute, LOS GALACTICOS's Celestino Matei ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sten Muren. Sten Muren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. 55 minutes into the game, one of Carmen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. LOS GALACTICOS's Hermengildo Galsino got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albino Ascencio hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Felix Veronica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, A.J. Adams managed to get in a good position for a shot. LOS GALACTICOS's supporters rose to their feet, but A.J. Adams was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sten Muren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Carmen defense, A.J. Adams kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sten Muren. The Carmen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sten Muren should have stopped the shot. Fermin Joseph kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Hermengildo Elizardo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sten Muren firmly grabbed it by the left post. Hermengildo Galsino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Sten Muren made a huge save. Hermengildo Elizardos short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Sten Muren to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Virgil Găman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Ordono in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81stth minute of the game Dario Ordono who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LOS GALACTICOS's Virgil Găman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adolfo Amato hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute A.J. Adams shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Muren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Carmen's goalkeeper Sten Muren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermengildo Galsino. When Albino Ascencio fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carmen's protests and gave Albino Ascencio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Carmen's Albino Ascencio got a free kick in the 86th minute. After having played for 88 minutes, A.J. Adams managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LOS GALACTICOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but A.J. Adams was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that A.J. Adams's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sten Muren was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Hermengildo Elizardo in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sten Muren, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers A.J. Adams in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sten Muren saved Carmen from getting behind. LOS GALACTICOS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
