The crowd rose to their feet as Ya Veran's Nicolás De la Cruz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Auke Popken. That made the score 1-0 after 22 minutes of play. Nicolás De la Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Ya Veran booed when Bernal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. 김 지 didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Osmar da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
