Lorenzo Peli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 7th minute, Wilfredo Checa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bernal FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 9 minutes into the match, Esquina's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Gaxan came free, but Lorenzo Peli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th match minute, Bernal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Fantini to maneuver through the defense. Edgardo Bernabel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Auke Popken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. German Berriotxoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 22nd minute, Pablo Gaxan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rosendo Nazario charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rosendo Nazario the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lorenzo Peli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Gaxan in the 27th minute of play. German Berriotxoa struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Auke Popken didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esquina. Gogo Sazon kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 44th minute German Berriotxoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Auke Popken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pablo Gaxan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bernal FC's Gilberto Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilfredo Checa might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lorenzo Peli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilfredo Checa ran back to his position shaking his head. Pablo Gaxan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Peli having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pablo Gaxan in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lorenzo Peli saved Esquina from getting behind. When Bernal FC's Pablo Gaxan in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Esquina's goalie prevented a goal. After 72 played minutes Esquina got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Medina. Julian Cordarell struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Lorenzo Peli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bernal FC. Julian Cordarell scored 5-1 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lorenzo Peli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Bernal FC fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Bernal FC's Julian Cordarell looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Wilfredo Checa came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Bernal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfredo Checa couldn't finish the play. After 91 minutes of play, Esquina's German Berriotxoa made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Auke Popken was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julian Cordarell succeeded in the game's 94th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 7-2. Bernal FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
