After some careless play in the MORMONES defense, Elias Belarmo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacinto Taurino. The MORMONES fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacinto Taurino should have stopped the shot. 0-3 became the score in the 16th minute when Salvador Cidro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 31 minutes, Everardo Lizbeth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New York RB and the MORMONES players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of New York RB booed when MORMONES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Clementi didn't get a good kick on the ball. MORMONES's Jacinto Taurino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Belarmo in the 40th minute of play. Jacinto Taurino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Belarmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The MORMONES players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. New York RB were winning 0-3.

Jacinto Taurino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Cidro in the 76th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elias Belarmo got free with Jacinto Taurino in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Salvador Cidro hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. MORMONES's Jacinto Taurino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save MORMONES from getting a goal against them. 93 minutes into the match, MORMONES's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Cidro came free, but Jacinto Taurino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
