The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, Lanserou Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Onbera came free, but Filomeno Pepillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Onbera got free with Filomeno Pepillo in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anastasio Clementi hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Ambrosio Guillelmus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute of the match Gabriel Gaspard shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oscar Urtzi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Oscar Urtzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romulo Bide, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Amado Ticho's late challenge caught a Lanserou Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amado Ticho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th match minute, Argentinos Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amado Ticho to maneuver through the defense. Filomeno Pepillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Onbera in the 35th minute of the match. Aquilino Joseph hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredo Onbera was the one to do the kick off. Lanserou Fc's Filomeno Pepillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Onbera in the 52nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredo Onbera in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filomeno Pepillo saved Lanserou Fc from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Alfredo Onbera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filomeno Pepillo was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Onbera in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filomeno Pepillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 79th minute, Lanserou Fc's Gabriel Gaspard seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gabriel Gaspard the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Lanserou Fc protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gabriel Gaspard had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lanserou Fc! Octavio Urtsin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Pepillo having to interfere. In the 94thth minute of the game Alfredo Onbera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lanserou Fc's Filomeno Pepillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Alfredo Onbera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filomeno Pepillo was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lanserou Fc players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Argentinos Juniors.
