After a rather tough play, Ambargasta's Julian Mambru got a free kick in the 6th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacobo Fonticoba got free with Silvestre Loramendi in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 12 minutes into the game, Picantes del Norte's Zrinko Pavković nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Charlie Sundin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 16 minutes, Dráusio Veloso made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ambargasta's Charlie Sundin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Silvestre Loramendi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacobo Fonticoba in the 21st minute. When Picantes del Norte's Dráusio Veloso in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ambargasta's goalie prevented a goal. 28 minutes into the game, Dráusio Veloso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Charlie Sundin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Charlie Sundin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zrinko Pavković's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Zrinko Pavković put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Charlie Sundin. In the 41st minute Dráusio Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charlie Sundin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jesus Hermelando hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute of the match Jairo Pueblo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Charlie Sundin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ambargasta's Charlie Sundin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráusio Veloso in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Zrinko Pavković ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Charlie Sundin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacobo Fonticoba was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Prospero Txatxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Picantes del Norte's Roth Culek got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, Dráusio Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the match, Ambargasta's goal looked a bit too open when Dráusio Veloso came free, but Charlie Sundin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dráusio Veloso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Charlie Sundin came out and tried to block the shot, but Dráusio Veloso slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 60th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ambargasta's zone, Dráusio Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charlie Sundin came out of the goal and Dráusio Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacobo Fonticoba in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvestre Loramendi saved Picantes del Norte from getting behind. After 66 minutes, Jacobo Fonticoba made it 1-6 with a short kick to the right side. Picantes del Norte's Silvestre Loramendi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 69 minutes into the match, Dráusio Veloso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Charlie Sundin, 1-7. Silvestre Loramendi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacobo Fonticoba went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-7 was the resulting score. Severiano Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Dráusio Veloso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Charlie Sundin was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. After 84 played minutes Ambargasta got a freekick which was hit by Julian Mambru. 86 minutes into the match, Ambargasta's goalkeeper Charlie Sundin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaspar Todor. When Gaspar Todor came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Picantes del Norte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Todor couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute, Zrinko Pavković got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 2-8 when Dráusio Veloso sped through Ambargasta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Charlie Sundin. Picantes del Norte's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
