In the 12th minute Albano Flores shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Lizbeth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hector Lizbeth came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Boca Juniors fc's Oliver Bierhoff. But to his dismay, Oliver Bierhoff quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 15 minutes into the game, Giovanni Simeone cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Hector Lizbeth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Boca Juniors fc's Ryszard Kaczanek got control of the ball when Aurelio Macario tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 23 played minutes Cóceres FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorginho Pernambucano. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurelio Macario got free with Ryszard Kaczanek in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomas Oliveiro charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Oliveiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th match minute, Boca Juniors fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Oliveiro to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Cóceres FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Bierhoff came free, but Hector Lizbeth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 played minutes Boca Juniors fc got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Lluciano. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelio Macario in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ryszard Kaczanek saved Boca Juniors fc from getting behind. Boca Juniors fc's Ryszard Kaczanek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robustiano Peyo in the 42nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Boca Juniors fc defense, Robustiano Peyo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ryszard Kaczanek. The Boca Juniors fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ryszard Kaczanek should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurelio Macario was the one to do the kick off. Jorginho Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Boca Juniors fc's Oliver Bierhoff couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 56th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cóceres FC. In the 62nd minute Epifanio Sadurni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ryszard Kaczanek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hector Lizbeth came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Boca Juniors fc's Oliver Bierhoff. But to his dismay, Oliver Bierhoff quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After 67 minutes, Robustiano Peyo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cóceres FC and the Boca Juniors fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. Robustiano Peyo hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Cóceres FC made a substitution. Tobias Lordi replaced Aurelio Macario. Cóceres FC's Octavio Leoncio was substituted for Gavino Fertus. After 68 played minutes Cóceres FC got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Peyo. Cóceres FC's Hector Lizbeth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Cóceres FC from getting a goal against them. Ryszard Kaczanek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Sadurni in the 73rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernabe Lluciano during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors fc's Bernabe Lluciano got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Juniors fc's zone, Eulalio Felipo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ryszard Kaczanek came out of the goal and Eulalio Felipo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernabe Lluciano got his second yellow card in the match during the 92nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Boca Juniors fc getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Bernabe Lluciano hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Boca Juniors fc eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
