AS MAS's Ramiro Vedillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Micael in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Hugo Iliana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basilio Iigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Elorri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 12 minutes of play, AS MAS's Mariano Cordeara made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basilio Iigo was left in no man's land by his defense there! With an all-out effort, AS MAS's Basilio Iigo threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bernardino Elorri, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Guaberto Clementi scored 2-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basilio Iigo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Basilio Iigo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Cordeara went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 31st minute, AS MAS's Bernardino Elorri dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Basilio Iigo made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Mariano Cordeara sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th match minute, TRINQUETA 1997 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Gomez to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in TRINQUETA 1997 FC's zone, Celedonio Abecia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Iigo came out of the goal and Celedonio Abecia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basilio Iigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Clodio in the 42nd minute of play. Mariano Cordeara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, AS MAS's Mariano Cordeara dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Cordeara was the one to do the kick off. Ramiro Vedillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Micael in the 51st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, AS MAS's Ceferino Raymundo got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Basilio Iigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Cordeara in the 56th minute of the match. After 61 minutes, Americo Salvatore mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TRINQUETA 1997 FC and the AS MAS players grew even worse after the yellow card. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. AS MAS had played much better football throughout.
