Paolo Iratze's late challenge caught a Carril's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paolo Iratze helped the player get up and apologised. After 23 played minutes Messias got a freekick which was hit by Paolo Iratze. Carril's Patricio Misael got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sergio Pancho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Belo, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Ildefonso Jakue could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Marcelo Manni made a huge save. After 33 played minutes Messias got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Felipillo. In the 34th minute Federico Parco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Pancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Messias's Sergio Pancho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Belo in the 35th minute of play. After 37 played minutes Carril got a freekick which was hit by Delmar Nataniel. Samuel Belo scored 0-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sergio Pancho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcelo Manni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lázaro Horado in the 48th minute. The Messias players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Carril were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ildefonso Jakue stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Messias were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Carril's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Paolo Iratze took the corner. Paolo Iratze made a great header on Messias's corner, it was just that Carril's Marcelo Manni managed to reach the ball for a save. 61 minutes into the match, Carril's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Jakue came free, but Marcelo Manni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelo Manni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ildefonso Jakue's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Ildefonso Jakue put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marcelo Manni.
