An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Orain in the 18th minute of play forced LA MERCED F.C.'s goalkeeper Pablo Socorro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hilario Goito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fermin Mino in the 19th minute. Mala Mucha kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 24th minute Fermin Mino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Goito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Barranca FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Ambrosio Tiniebra hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Manuel Bastiaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ambrosio Tiniebra's late challenge caught a LA MERCED F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ambrosio Tiniebra helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes Barranca FC got a freekick which was hit by Ambrosio Tiniebra. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 50th minute, Cosme Ascencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. LA MERCED F.C.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Justo Bartoleme 55 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. After 62 minutes, Joaquin Claus made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. LA MERCED F.C.'s Pablo Socorro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Barranca FC's zone, Andrey Shevchenko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Goito came out of the goal and Andrey Shevchenko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute Fermin Mino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Goito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquin Claus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Pablo Socorro made a huge save. 94 minutes into the game, Dario Marzulli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LA MERCED F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barranca FC the free kick. In the 94th minute, Dario Marzulli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The LA MERCED F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Barranca FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
