The Iowa FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Prospero Perutxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 12 minutes into the match, Eusebio Gorri notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of La pelota siempre al Díez's Inocencio Lidon. Inocencio Lidon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Eusebio Gorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for La pelota siempre al Díez! When Iowa FC's Eusebio Gorri in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 35th minute there was a penalty for Iowa FC. Romulo Rencio stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Inocencio Lidon. 0-7. Eusebio Gorri scored 0-8 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Inocencio Lidon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Prospero Perutxo came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Iowa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prospero Perutxo couldn't finish the play. After the first half Iowa FC were leading 0-8. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 52 minutes, Prospero Perutxo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iowa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prospero Perutxo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 53 minutes into the game, Eusebio Gorri recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Inocencio Lidon. Eusebio Gorri showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. Eusebio Gorri succeeded in the game's 68th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-13. Prospero Perutxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Lidon having to interfere. Iowa FC's Eusebio Gorri managed to work through La pelota siempre al Díez's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Eusebio Gorri dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 78 minutes into the game, Prospero Perutxo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-15. Inocencio Lidon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Prospero Perutxo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Inocencio Lidon came out and tried to block the shot, but Prospero Perutxo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-16 in the 81st minute. Prospero Perutxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. La pelota siempre al Díez's Inocencio Lidon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Gorri in the 86th minute of play. With a little luck, La pelota siempre al Díez's Inocencio Lidon got control of the ball when Eusebio Gorri tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Prospero Perutxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusebio Gorri struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Inocencio Lidon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iowa FC. When %teams%'s Eusebio Gorri was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 0-17 just inside the left pole, 95 minutes into the game. Inocencio Lidon was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Iowa FC played a much better game than La pelota siempre al Díez and deserved their victory. The La pelota siempre al Díez players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
