Hilario Goito had in the 9thth minute some difficulties stopping Albeiro Usuriaga's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Arnoldo Peyo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Manuel Bastiaro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 11 minute of play. Arnoldo Peyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Bastiaro in the 15th minute of the match. When Anacleto Bastiaro came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the LA NARANJA MECANICA fans jumped to their feet. Arnoldo Peyo came out of the goal and Marcelino Orain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute Manuel Bastiaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Peyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Marcelino Orain came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Barranca FC fans jumped to their feet. The supporters of Barranca FC booed when LA NARANJA MECANICA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marciano Matai didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anacleto Bastiaro made a kick off. Manuel Bastiaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Bastiaro in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnoldo Peyo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 69 minutes, Marciano Matai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LA NARANJA MECANICA and the Barranca FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
